Day 14: Repairs & letterboxing

We spent the first half of the day getting a tune-up on the car.  It's been nearly 3000 miles since we started, and the car is rapidly approaching 200,000 miles, so we wanted to get a couple things done before we started back out on the road again tomorrow...

After that, the kids & I took a half day and got in a little letterboxing!  We went down the road to Binder State Park - which has a pretty cool lake and some nice trails.

There is a series of boxes here based around the Harry Potter books/movies.  Now all we have to do is find them...

Yep, that's a marshy area, now look for a rocky outcropping.

The directions say head east...

Dad, are you sure this is a trail...?

Ohhh - THERE's the trail!

After hiking all over through the woods, we found some geese hanging out near the lake.

Lots of geese, actually!

Another couple of boxes...

And then it was time for the playground!!

It was a great afternoon!
